What is an elective ultrasound?

Anticipation Ultrasound is an elective ultrasound studio providing images and video to expectant parents since 2003. An elective ultrasound is a non-medical, optional ultrasound performed during pregnancy for the purpose of bonding with the unborn baby and obtaining keepsake images and videos. Elective ultrasounds are typically done at the request of expectant parents who want additional opportunities to see and experience their baby before birth.

Elective ultrasounds are usually performed at private ultrasound studios, like Anticipation Ultrasound Studio, that offer a more relaxed and comfortable environment compared to medical facilities. We use 2D Ultrasound, 3D Ultrasound and 4D Ultrasound (also called 5D Ultrasound or HD Ultrasound) to capture images and videos of the baby, providing more detailed and lifelike views.

It’s important to note that elective ultrasounds should not replace or be seen as a substitute for regular prenatal care provided by healthcare professionals.
